1. Who are Ferries Trains Planes?
We are part of Ferries Trains Planes Ltd. We are an online travel agent who offers Ferry, Eurotunnel and Eurostar tickets to the UK, Ireland and the continent.

2. I am trying to get a price for 2 passengers going out and only 1 passenger coming back, is this possible?
We can arrange for that but you will have to book over the phone, you cannot do it online.

3. How do I know which ferry company I am booking with?
Once you have made the booking you will receive an email confirmation with the ferry operating company details. The booking details, the check in times will also be on it and it will give you a confirmed reference number which you must take to the terminal with you.

4. What are the cheapest times to travel?
The weekends and peak times tend to be more expensive and so do over night crossings where you will have to use a cabin to sleep in. The early hours of the morning or late at night will be cheaper.

5. Can change my vehicle prior to departure?
Yes you can as long as the dimensions are the same. If the height or length changes then there may be a charge to change.

6. I will be travelling in a rental car but I won’t have the registration. Can I still make a booking?
Yes you can, just enter ‘TBA’ (to be announced) and your booking will still go through.

7. If I book over the internet will I receive tickets in the post?
No, we will email you an E-Ticket which you will need to present at the terminal which will have a confirmed booking reference on there which you will quote and you must bring your driving license and your passport.

8. Is my credit card secure when I make a booking?
Yes, we use a secure server which formats your details by encrypting them so they can’t be read by anyone.

9. My question is not answered on this FAQ page, where can I get further info on this?

10. Am I allowed to take my pet with me?
As long as you inform us by sending an email to info@ferries-trains-planes.co.uk or by calling 0906 7533450*. The cost is usually £15-20 each way for each pet depending on the operator.

11. How do I know if I have booked a Single or a return crossing?
As you are making the booking you can select if you want a single or a return. Once you have made the booking it will show up like either of these below Journey Details: Dover-Calais-Dover (rtn) Or Journey Details: Dover-Calais (sgl)

12. How do I make a booking a as a foot passenger?
Under vehicle details make sure you select ‘foot’ or ‘on foot’.

13. What do I do if I need to amend my booking?
You need to either phone us or email us with giving your reference number and what details you want to change.

14. Will there be a charge for changing my booking?
The minimum to pay is a £10 amendment fee but if the price of the ticket increases then you will have to pay that difference too.
